Cancer Services of New Mexico's
Explora Night for Kids with Cancer
2011 Explora Day Participants
Each year, New Mexico's current and former pediatric cancer patients and their families are treated to a special event. Along with Zoo Day, in 2011, Cancer Services of New Mexico organized its first Explora Night.
Explora Night 2011
Our 2011 Explora Night for kids with cancer was held on July 23rd. All current and former New Mexican pediatric patients were invited to attend for free, along with their parents and siblings.
A big thank you to the following sponsors. Major financial supporters in 2011 included Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Gap, Inc., and New Mexico Children's Foundation.
Ethicon and Gap also provided many, many volunteers to help the event run smoothly. Dinner was provided and served by the great volunteers from Panda Express. The Northwest Optimists club continued their longstanding involvement in this event, coordinating our carnival area and providing prizes and face painters.
Special thanks also go to The 501st Legion Dewvack Ridge Squad, the Expolra Science Museum, Everest Digital Scanning, Graphic Connection, Susan Whipple Hodge, Garcia's Rent-a-Tent, and the UNM Pediatric Oncology Program.
Zoo Day 2012
Our 2012 Zoo Day for Kids with Cancer will be held in Summer 2012. All current and former New Mexican pediatric cancer patients are invited to attend for free, along with their parents and siblings. For more information, please check the Zoo Day page or contact us.
